Max-Viz EVS-1500 and Robertson Racing Cessna Citation S550

January 18, 2010. Portland, Oregon The new Max-Viz EVS-1500 Enhanced Vision System is now in service on Cessna Citation S550's as operated by Robertson Racing of Ray, Michigan. Installed in conjunction with the Clifford Development Group STC for the Williams FJ44-3 Engine and the Rockwell-Collins three display Pro-Line 21 IDS, the EVS-1500 sensor is hosted in an aerodynamic fairing added to the lower nose of the Cessna Citation II. The Max-Viz EVS-1500 is the replacement for the original EVS-1000 system, which was previously STC approved for use on Citation II's, including 500, 550, S550, 552, 560 and 560XL models. In contrast to other systems, the EVS-1500 is the only system available to date for business jet users to provide true optically magnified dual field-of-view capability. Robertson Racing LLC owners Dave and Andrea Robertson are both pilots and racing team mates, driving their Ford GT MK 7 in the competitive GT 2 class of the American Le Mans racing series. Dave Robertson, also a former Chief Pilot and Director of Flight Safety for a major Commercial Airline reports, "The integration with the Pro-Line 21 MFD provides a great option for EVS display. I appreciate the added margin of safety available with EVS". Max-Viz designs and manufactures the smallest, most reliable and most affordable infrared Enhanced Vision Systems for business aircraft. These systems provide pilots with real-time video imagery at night and in limited visibility environments, to help pilots to "see and avoid" hazardous situations that might otherwise not be visible to the human eye.
