The EVS-1000 is a single long-wave (8 to
12 microns) infrared sensor that easily mounts to any small, medium
or heavy helicopter. The EVS sensor and accompanying power supply
fit nicely into the upper or lower nose or belly or can be attached
to the landing skids. For fuselage mounting, a small fairing covers
the sensor. The system requires 28VDC power and outputs RS-170 standard
video to the selected video-capable cockpit display. Dedicated displays,
if required, are supplied with mounting instructions. Installation
can be expected to require one or two days downtime.
