Max-Viz Names New Sales Vice-President
Seasoned Aviation Executive Kenneth J. Paul to
Drive Sales Growth of Enhanced Vision Systems
Portland, Oregon (August 25, 2004) Max-Viz, Inc. the industry leader in improving situational awareness and safety in the air and on the ground using state-of-the-art, real-time, infrared sensor technologies today announced that it has named Kenneth J. Paul as the company's new sales vice-president.
Paul's experience spans an impressive record of sales and marketing results within aviation avionics, instrument markets and franchised dealer networks to piston singles and business jets. His strategic focus at Max-Viz is to lead the sales expansion of the company's enhanced vision systems.
Previous to Max-Viz, Paul drove the Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) sales and marketing efforts for S-TEC Meggitt Avionics, delivering autopilot and instrument flight control products to the aircraft industry. Paul was instrumental in winning the largest OEM order in the Meggitt's company history for the autopilot system of a leading micro-jet manufacturer.
"Ken; Paul is a recognized aviation industry sales leader and we are very fortunate to bring a person of his caliber to our team," said Jim Tuttle, president and CEO of Max-Viz. "Under Ken's leadership, Meggitt was able to grow its sales market share from just under 60% to more than 90% in three years. We are very confident in his ability to grow Max-Viz."
"Max-Viz can grow exponentially. The team has engineered the latest breakthroughs in EVS technology to offer the world's highest performance, most cost effective enhanced vision systems," said Paul. "I came to Max-Viz to be part of the team effort that is changing the way pilots view their world whether in the air or on the ground."
Paul added, "As airports and airways become more congested and as more flights venture into smaller airports of the world, aviation is demanding that three core safety measures are addressed: reduced runway incursions during take-offs and landings, reduced approach and landing accidents and reduced controlled flight into terrain. I'm delighted to be on board."
With more than 30 years in the aviation industry, Paul has held executive management positions with companies including BFGoodrich Avionics Systems and Sabreliner Corporation. He also has extensive aircraft dealer experience in companies that include Pegasus, Air Virginia and Decatur Aviation.
In addition, Paul is a commercial pilot with multi-engine and instrument ratings. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Maryland
